Speech & Language (SALT)
We are supported by SALT from the Local Authority and from the NHS. Staff work with the therapists to ensure a total communication environment and liaise about targets and programmes for some pupils.
Occupational Therapy (OT)
We employ our own OT, who mainly supports children with sensory difficulties but also sitting positions, hand function and self help strategies such as eating. Sometimes a child will be supported by an NHS OT.
The NHS Physio see children with specific needs around mobility.
We pay a Play Therapist to work with one or two children over a period of time to help with emotional needs. Children work 1:1 with the therapist over a period of time.
Therapy Through Music
Children may have therapy through music if we feel they have needs that could be supported in this way. Children will have a number of sessions either individually or in small groups and parents receive a report.
